Focus
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. – Philippians 4:8
Often at the beginning of each year, the Lord gives me (Sue) a special word to help guide me for the coming year. This year the word that the Lord gave me was “focus.”
Prayer is a time for us to focus our thoughts on the things of God.
With all the tension and craziness of things that are happening in the world and the USA, I have found that this word has turned out to be the perfect word for my heart. When I find myself sad or disappointed then I am reminded that it is time for me to focus again.
- I need to focus on Jesus.
- I need to focus on what He has called us to do.
- I need to focus on sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Staying Focused Where You Are

If we are focused on man or the things of this world our hopes will be dashed. Let us fix our eyes on eternal things in 2021!
