Wow! What a Great Tool!

The Kunda project now has 90 percent of the New Testament drafted. We’re making even better progress than before due to every translator now having access to a Bible translation software program called Paratext. The newest version allows all the translators to synchronize each day’s edits with all the other computers through the internet.

The Paratext program enables members of our team who are living in different locations to easily check the latest drafts and to ensure they are accurate to original Greek. We’re blessed to see how easily the program works and despite our limited internet connections we can send and receive our data on most days.

There are scores of people who helped design this software program whom we will never meet. And behind each one of them is a team of people who are praying and supporting them, just as you pray and support us. We’re encouraged to think that we are not alone in this work. God has people all over the world, like you, many who are “behind the scenes” accomplishing His will.

This software program can display and synchronize many Bible versions. Here the draft Kunda is shown on the left, a Chewa translation in the middle, and an English version with the Greek text is on the right.
